Build search foundations before chasing keywords

A page has to be accessible and useful before an optimization plan has something meaningful to work with.

Retained marketing resource: these checks support the website stage of a marketing workflow, helping people reach useful information and a clear contact route.

Map questions to useful pages

Start with what a prospective customer is trying to understand. For a local service this might be location, fit and availability. For a manufacturer it might be product specifications, applications and the information needed to request a quote.

Give each page a distinct purpose. Avoid creating several near-identical pages just to vary a keyword. The architecture should help a visitor navigate the offer.

Check the basic path

Google's technical guidance covers accessibility to crawlers, successful page responses and indexable content. Treat those as baseline checks, with no assumption that passing them guarantees indexing or rankings.

Give every improvement a reason

Our recommended action list ties each change to a problem: a missing service explanation, inaccessible page, unclear navigation or broken enquiry route. This makes the work easier to prioritize and review than an undifferentiated score.

Use outcome signals with care

Search impressions, clicks and enquiries describe different stages. A change in one is not automatically a change in the next. Agree which signals are available before claiming that a technical improvement produced revenue.
